Rights and obligations

Information on rights and obligations

Forest owners have several different opportunities to manage and use their forests. However, when making decisions, forest owners must consider, among other things, the Forest Act, which stipulates for measures related to the management and use of forests. If the forest is covered by forest certification, the use of the forest is also guided by the certification criteria.

In addition to the Forest Act, the use of forests can be affected by a number of other laws.
